towers, flags, chickens and the bridge

Hah, what a long week it's been. obviously it was memorable enough to warrant a blog post...

1) UTP Convocation Day!

After 5 long years of sacrifice and hard work (no, not really. more like 5 years of fun & games), we finally got our chance to wear the funny square hats and the wizard robes! it was nice to meet my parents, the korean gang and that cute carrot again!

thanks to everyone for a good time (thx hikki for the german rose, thx tracy's mum for the flowers, thx mum n dad for the snoopy, thx yingying for the bear, thx carol for the roses!)

driving to ipoh and back was a pretty tiring experience, but i would say it was well worth it... carol finally got her chance to meet the other zany friends that I have.

2) KL Trip + Merdeka

Was in KL for a meeting, and had a great time there, while the decoration team finished off the rest of the work back at the company. thanks to the #korea guys (especially tong)... nothing like relaxing in hotel room followed by shopping followed by a good lunch followed by a good game of basketball followed by an excellent dinner (next time, 4 ekor ikan) followed by a bunch of dota games followed by supper of tong sui. phew.

On the last day back, I had:
a) Kentucky Fried CHICKEN in Puduraya for breakfast,
b) CHICKEN burger for lunch along the highway,
c) CHICKEN rice for dinner followed by CHICKEN wings.

I think I'm gonna sprout feathers any day now.

3) Penang Trip

Went down Penang on the Sunday I got back to visit carol before she flies back: thx to her church ppl for the lunch, then me n carrot had a good time at queensbay mall!

for my future reference:

8.30am: left laguna merbok on the SP north exit
8.35am: passed SP south exit
8.45am: passed Bertam/Kepala Batas turnoff
9.00am: reached Penang bridge on the mainland side
9.15am: reached Penang island (45 minutes)

Came back in a heavy downpour, fortunately I arrived safely! And that's the end of my hectic week. Phew.
